Schroeder’s one of my biggest inspirations for becoming a classical music aficionado, actually! Even though on the cartoon shows he’s all about Beethoven (I’d love to see what he would have said to John Cage when that guy started saying “Beethoven was wrong!”), in the strips he gave other composers a shot as well. I relate to Schroeder because I often find myself among the rural society of a non-audience.
