“I love opera… but I think it’s two-thirds too long”

I was actually trying to find Eddie Izzard’s bit about jazz chickens, but I couldn’t find a good version. So I thought maybe I could post his opera bit, some of which I tweeted yesterday, but still — no good version. But related videos yielded this, and I think it will work, no?

(There is something about this that reminds me of “Barbara Manatee” or “Endangered Love” or whatever it’s called.)

About Jenn

Despite being the former digital marketing intern at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Jenn German does not like Mozart. Beethoven could've totally beaten him up. Also she has an arts management graduate degree from American University, but this changes nothing.

  1. Great. I like much of Billy Connolly’s stuff (grew up with him on TV in the UK) but haven’t seen this sketch before. Thx for sharing!
