Icarus at the Edge of Time preview

The BSO is going to play this in the upcoming season.

I know, right?

About Jenn

Despite being the former digital marketing intern at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Jenn German does not like Mozart. Beethoven could've totally beaten him up. Also she has an arts management graduate degree from American University, but this changes nothing.

  1. Keith Gates made a WONDERFUL wind work entitled, Icarus and Daedalus, Fantasy of Flight. It is one of my favorite works for band! It will be worth your $.99 and 8 minutes to purchase & listen to this work!

  2. I just read about this in New Scientist: http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/culturelab/2010/06/brian-greene-wants-to-put-emotion-back-into-science.html

Odd that the article doesn’t mention that Greene’s father was a composer, so this project makes total sense for him to do.

He mentions the performance in Baltimore in January at the very end of the article. So the BSO performance will be the narration and the music? or just the music? It’s not clear from the description on the BSO site.
